My thoughts on current projects – I seem to get the more difficult projects. You know the ones that everyone says it can’t be done until I come along. Or I seem to get the very complicated projects. One homeowner was a retired lumber company draftsperson and he come to me because of the many existing levels in his home/garage/porch/patio/stairs/landings and the location and attachment of the new addition. Especially the complexity of the new roof system and how it attaches to the existing structures. It turned out nicer than I thought, really sharp! It looked like it was always there. You’d never imagine it was an addition/renovation. The design challenge was a 10 based on a scale of 1 to 10 and 10 being most difficult. At times, I feel like it’s a part of me that will live forever.
